Urban Age Sud América/ São Paulo 3 al 5 de Diciembre
São Paulo será la sede de la última versión de las intensas conferencias de Urban Age, esta vez agendandas en Sudamérica. La ciudad Paulista, una de las aglomeraciones urbanas más grandes del mundo, recibirá entre el 3 y 5 de diciembre más de 50 exposiciones sobre temas de gobernabilidad, transporte, vivienda, caliemiento global, diseño urbano, desarrollo entre otros.
Urban Age ha realizado de manera continuada conferencias sobre el estado del arte de las ciudades a lo largo de todo el mundo, centrandose en ciudades tan diversas como Nueva York, Shanghai, Londres, Ciudad de México, Johannesburgo y Berlín.
En esta entrega cabe destacar la presencia de destacados políticos, académicos, arquitectos, urbanistas como Richard Sennett, Saskia Sassen, Norman Foster, Jaime Lerner y Enrique Peñalosa entre un largo y variopinto etc.
Dentro de los expositores chilenos se encuentra Alejandro Aravena con Elemental: Housing as Investment not Social Expense, Alejandro Gutiérrez con The Carbon Neutral Environment, además expondrá Eduardo Rojas del BID, autor de importantes estudios sobre regeneraciones urbanas como Volver al Centro y Felipe Aldunate-Montes, Director Editorial de la revista América Economía.
Urban Age es una investgación de largo alcance enfocada en el futuro de las ciudades, organizada por la London School of Economics and Political Science junto al Deutsche Bank’s Alfred Herrhausen Society. Estas investigaciones se han extendido a lo largo de todo el mundo con una red internacional e interdisciplinaria de políticos, tomadores de decisiones, expertos académicos y practicantes del area urbana.
